Aluminum Seaming Board

This sturdy aluminum board assists in reducing peaking and overlapping problems with hot melt carpet seaming. For use with 3" wide seaming tape, this board assures the best possible bond between carpet and seaming tape. Measuring 6" wide x 48" long x 1/8" thick, it will not hang up on tackless strip pins like homemade wooden seaming boards, and will not delaminate when you scrape it clean. Unlike the narrower, and more expensive flexible Teflon® seaming supports, this rigid board provides a solid base over the softest pad. The 4-1/4" x 1-1/8" slot guides the tape, while the 1" x 1/4" slot provides an attachment point for a centering strap to allow the board to be pulled through the carpet.
